Your First Visit

Getting to know you AND your dental health needs and concerns are key elements in the relationship we enjoy with you. That relationship begins at your first visit to our office. During your initial appointment, Dr. Dyer or Dr. Robinson will listen to your concerns and questions, examine your teeth and bite, and may recommend that diagnostic records be taken at this time. There is no fee for the initial exam, including your diagnostic records. Complete diagnostic records typically include a medical/dental history, clinical examination, plaster study models of the teeth, photos of the patient's face and teeth, and X-rays of the teeth and jaws (panoramic and cephalmetric). This information is used to develop a custom treatment plan for each patient. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of tooth movement throughout your orthodontic treatment. If treatment is indicated, we will quote you fees and estimated treatment times at this appointment.

Consultation

Once Dr. Dyer or Dr. Robinson have further evaluated your records and formed an individualized plan for your orthodontic care, Tiffany will present this information to you in a phone consultation. Active treatment can begin shortly thereafter, or you may be placed in our recall system if we determine that you should wait to begin your treatment until more teeth erupt or more growth has occurred.

Regular Appointments

We recognize and appreciate that you value your time. We will do our very best not to keep you waiting. We also understand the difficulties of students missing school, and you will notice that, especially during the after-school hours, our office is a lively place! However, we ask that you understand that it is only the shorter appointments and adjustments that can be accommodated during the prime time. Bandings and other longer appointments are given the deserved necessary attention during our less crowded appointment times. We will work with you, and there are other good options such as early morning appointments and times during the student's lunch break.

If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can reschedule you promptly. Keep in mind that every effort should be made to keep your scheduled appointment so that treatment can progress as planned.

Fees, Payment, and Insurance

Braces are a significant expense for any family. We offer various payment plans to suit different budgets. In an effort to keep orthodontic fees manageable while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established the following guidelines:

  • If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a fee discount.
  • To fit your individual needs, financial arrangements can be made to extend your payments over a period of months.
  • For your convenience, we accept payment by VISA and MASTERCARD.
  • In cases of serious delinquency, treatment will be discontinued, although we will make every effort to accommodate patients with temporary difficulties.
  • We accept assignments from most insurance plans, and file the necessary papers with the insurance company. The balance will be arranged for you to pay, as described above.
